You don’t have to promote the goat.
For those of you who don’t know what the “goat” is…
The “goat” is Greatest Of All Time.
If you look at people who are the greatest of all time…
Whatever field they’re in… these people have mastered their craft!
They don’t need to “promote” themselves.
They don’t need to go around telling people how great they are or try to get people to admire them.
They are sooooo good that their results and their greatness speaks for itself!
Like when Michael Jordan walks in a room, he doesn’t have to position himself and talk about how great he is…
People already know!
So my message for you guys is if you want people to look up to you and admire you…
Instead of trying to get people to admire you, why don’t you take action and become a person that IS admirable!
Instead of being so loud that everyone hears you, why don’t you put in silent work until you get loud results SO MUCH that people want to hear you!
I had to learn this myself when I was playing baseball…
All my friends had scouts coming to their games…
And it discouraged me that they were getting all this attention and I wasn’t.
Then one day my dad told me, “Caleb, you have to stop making excuses. You need to become so good that they can’t ignore you. Become so good that you have a ton of scouts show up at your game!”
I did that.
And it’s paid off throughout my entire life!
Instead of making excuses as to why people aren’t listening to me, become so good that you can’t be ignored.
Long story short…. become the goat. Don’t promote the goat.
